Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING TIMES

As each piece of Alice Menter jewellery is hand made especially for you upon order, we ask that you please be aware of our shipping times.

Once we have received your order, we will aim to get your jewellery made and sent out to you as soon as possible but please note that this could take up to 7 working days.

If you are buying jewellery for a special event and need it by a certain date, please let us know (you can add a note to your order at checkout or contact us) and we will do our best to accommodate a speedy dispatch.

If we envisage that your order will take longer than 7 working days to dispatch or we can't meet a deadline you have specified, we will notify you and give you the option to amend or cancel your order.

We cannot be held responsible for any delivery delays once an order has been dispatched and is in possession of the postal service.

UK SHIPPING

Delivery costs £7.00 per order. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery  which is a trackable delivery service that requires a signature upon receipt.

Please note that it can take up to 7 working days from the date you place your order until it is ready to be dispatched (we will need to make your jewellery first - see Shipping Times above).

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Delivery costs £10.00 per order. We use Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed which is a trackable delivery service that requires a signature upon receipt and aims to deliver within 3-7 days.

Please note that the delivery time is from the date of dispatch, not the date the order is placed (we will need to make your jewellery first - see Shipping Times above).

Please be aware that the customer is responsible for paying any duty or taxes incurred in the country of destination. Please contact your local tax office with any queries.

GIFT VOUCHER SHIPPING

Delivery costs £2.50 per order. Gift vouchers are sent to UK addresses via Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class (which aims to deliver the next working day) or to overseas addresses via Royal Mail International Standard (which aims to deliver within 3-7 days).

If you need guaranteed next-working-day delivery to the UK, please let us know and we can arrange to send your gift voucher via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm (please note that this will incur a higher postage charge).

Gift vouchers are sent in a rigid envelope to help prevent damage whilst in transit.

GIFT SERVICE

If you're buying jewellery as a gift and are having it sent directly to the recipient, we are more than happy to include a handwritten personal message.  Just let us know the specifics of what you'd like us to write (you can add a note to your order at checkout or contact us).  All orders come beautifully gift wrapped free of charge.

PACKAGING

Jewellery comes in an Alice Menter jewellery box which is beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and tied with a ribbon. All orders are shipped in unbranded, protective packaging.

RETURNS POLICY

**Christmas Extended Returns Policy -- We've extended our standard Returns Policy (below) for the festive season so that orders placed between 17th November and 17th December can be returned for an exchange right up until 9th January 2017.**

If there is a problem with your order upon delivery, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help rectify the situation.

Please note that returns received outside of the stated timelines are accepted at our discretion.

For reasons of hygiene, earrings are excluded from our returns policy and cannot be refunded or exchanged unless faulty. Our Bespoke pieces, rings, jewellery altered as per a customer request and gift vouchers are also exempt from any refund or exchange.

EXCHANGES

As all our jewellery is handmade to order, we do not offer refunds unless the item is faulty. However, if you are not happy with your purchase upon delivery, we can discuss arranging an exchange for you. You must contact us via email within 7 days of the delivery date to arrange returning your item(s) for exchange. Items for exchange must be returned unworn and in their original packaging within 14 days of the delivery date. If these conditions are not met the item(s) will be returned to you and you will not receive a replacement. You are responsible for return postage costs and we will not refund any postage and packing costs incurred. You are responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged in transit. We recommend that you securely package your item(s) and use a secure, trackable postal service. If you are in the UK, we recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery.

REFUNDS

All pieces of jewellery are lovingly handmade to order and are thoroughly inspected for faults before dispatch. In the unlikely event that an item is found to be faulty upon delivery, you may arrange to return it for a replacement or claim a full refund. You must contact us via email within 7 days of the delivery date to arrange returning your item(s) for a replacement / refund. Items to be replaced / refunded must be returned unworn and in their original packaging within 14 days of the delivery date. If these conditions are not met the item(s) will be returned to you and you will not receive a replacement / refund. You are responsible for return postage costs and we will not refund any postage and packing costs incurred. You are responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged in transit. We recommend that you securely package your item(s) and use a secure, trackable postal service. If you are in the UK, we recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Refunds will be issued via the original method of purchase within 14 days of the delivery date of your return.
